Weston Smith Memorial

Name:
Location: Fairfield subdivision, United States

Born on December 28, 1993, Weston Douglas Smith was the son of Doug and Lisa Smith. He was a 5th grader at Keith Elementary. Weston loved to read, play baseball, basketball and he loved going to school. Westons great smile and beautiful "eyes were like the window to his soul." Most people also know him as "one of the most polite kids they've known." Weston is loved by all. Weston was called up to be with the Lord on December 30, 2004. Please feel free to add your comments below. It is also asked that you have your children comment if they would like. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers please make a donation to Keith Elementary, (note)Weston Smith Library Fund as Weston loved so much to read.

Weston Smith Memorial Wristbands

To all the many people that donated money for the wristbands, Thank You! We have met our goal and then some. We were able to order 2,500 wristbands instead of the 1,500 we were going to order. There will be 1,500 adult size bands and 1,000 youth size bands that will be given away just after Baseball opening ceremonies on Saturday, March 19th. The Fairfield Sports Association has donated a booth, next to vendors row, for us to hand out the wristbands.

Again Thank You,

In His Honor

Notice : Password Sign on Changes

In doing some testing , we found out that someone logged in as Westonsfriend could delete comments from the website. So to be on the safe side, we shut down the password sign on for Westonsfriend.

Instead, anyone can still post a comment by going to comments, then use the anonymous post feature. You can then sign your name after writing comments and include your name as the final comment.....many people are already doing this. That way we don't take a chance on someone deleting something. Thanks and please keep posting any comments or stories for Weston and his family.

From the Weston Douglas Smith Family :

To the Fairfield Community, the hospital staff and caregivers, Klein Funeral Home, Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, Keith Elementary, Ault Elementary, The Fairfield Sports Association, and all family, friends, and associates:

On behalf of Weston Smith ~ and the entire Smith family ~ Doug, Lisa, Erica, Lauren, Zach and Kyle ~ we sincerely wish to THANK each and every one of you.

We believe that each of you, somehow, and in some way, helped in shaping Weston into the always smiling, intelligent, caring, competitive, and loving young boy that we fondly remember.

Rest assured, just as we will never forget Weston, we will never forget each of you. Your thoughts, prayers, cards, flowers, gifts, donations, and cherished times spent with us are truly appreciated. The love and support shown by everyone has been phenomenal. We will always be forever grateful.

And while words cannot express….nor could we even begin to repay each of you for what you have done….we do know…..and we hope that you may find comfort in knowing…. that Weston will continue to touch each of you….and maybe even repay you someday….in smiles :)

As a family, we’re still amazed and inspired by the faith, hope, and love in our community. We’ll continue to pray for each of you and hope that you will continue to pray for us. Together, the spirit of our community will live on and remain to help others.

We’ll also continue to give thanks ~every day ~ for the help, support, and blessings that we’ve received. We’ll live by faith, not sight; and we will go forward in our faith, believing in God’s plan for us, and our community, as it unfolds.

Why and how it will unfold, we do not know. Simply know, that when it unfolds, you may hear a young boy’s voice behind you saying,

“This is the way; walk in it.” -Isiah 30:21

Thanks for walking with us and with Weston. May he greet each of you with a smile someday and say “welcome home”.

In Him,

The Smith’s
